Sample Outgoing Policies

I have a Balance One with 2 WANS connected

  1. A Cable Modem 100Mbps d / 15Mbps up

  2. A Fiber connection 75Mbps up and down

I have been trying to figure out the best Outgoing Policies to use.

Put in Overflow with Cable Modem higher priority than the the Fiber connection.

I can see advantages (higher speed) and disadvantages (slower upload and higher latency) for that selection.

Could I ask for suggestions from people far smarter than me - including additional rules for specific types of ports/connections - and in what order.

Hi,

Fyi, Overflow will check on the available download bandwidth on the WAN link. So you have made a right choice. You may configure others rule based on port, IP address then routes the traffic via Fiber link.
