Router login through InTouch

Hello,

Sorry if this is the wrong forum.

I have a PL MAX BR1 5G with InControl sub. I also have my router (Asus RT-AS1800S) accessible through InTouch, or I should say partly accessible. Through InTouch I can get to the log on page of the router but can’t not get past the login screen with my credentials and there are no error displayed.

Has anyone experienced this?

Hi Orlando, suggest you enable and test the http compatibility modes and see if they help.

Ok. Tricky. What did developer tools show in chrome browser when you try? Might give you a clue as to underling cause. If not log a ticket with support for analysis.

Ha! - I’m a developer and didn’t think of that one, nice.

Anyway it didn’t show much only this error:
Failed to load resource: net::ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED

But on the second try it showed trying to resolve to this:
https://www.asusrouter.com:8443/chdom.json?hostname=127.0.0.1

Guessing it couldn’t resolve back to the router. Strange.
I’ll put a ticket in I guess, thanks.

Interesting. What happens if you add a DNS entry for www.asusrouter.com on your Peplink and point that domain to its LAN IP?

Interesting, it didn’t work but got a new error:

  1. A cross-origin resource sharing (CORS) request was blocked because the response to the associated preflight request failed, had an unsuccessful HTTP status code, and/or was a redirect.

To fix this issue, ensure all CORS preflight OPTIONS requests are answered with a successful HTTP status code (2xx) and do not redirect.

It seems the router itself is redirecting the logon, so it appears to be a non-PepLink issue.
Might try finding another router, this setup is on my boat, so I can experiment a bit.
