Resolution / update rate of cell info in admin pages

I’m considering a Peplink 5G modem / modem+router for use with a directional antenna from Waveform. I discovered Peplink because Waveform’s internet service gives you a Peplink B one 5G router.

I’ve survived for years with a Verizon ARC-XCI55AX connected to the Waveform QuadPro antenna but suddenly performance has fallen off a cliff. The Verizon dashboards don’t give you any information other than 5G and LTE signal strength (no tower info), so now I’m looking to buy my own hardware that will give me that info.

Coincidentally, I’ve built a dashboard to monitor speeds from the ARC and an unmodified Verizon ASK-NCQ1338FA (which they no longer give out) and have years’ worth of data. The ASK, which has been sitting as a backup as it has pretty awful performance without the help of an antenna, is now my primary. Recently (with Claude’s help) I added monitoring of the signal strengths reported by the devices’ admin panel and it’s clear the firmware on the ARC shows much higher resolution / less filtered signal numbers than the ASK - I see changes in the ARC numbers down to 0.1 dBm while for the ASK it’s more like 5.0 most of the time (i’ve seen it get near the resolution of the ARC at times…).

That is all to say, we never know what these devices are really reporting, and I cannot even imagine asking Verizon support a question like this. So can anyone tell me what the resolution / update rate / filtering of the signal numbers in the Peplink devices are? Or has anyone successfully aimed a directional antenna with one? I suppose just having the cell tower it’s connected to is already a huge help over what I have now.
