REQUEST 4: DEVICE REPORTS
NAME, TYPE, SUBTYPE, LOCATION, IP, MAC, etc. Do not make LISTS/FILES that do not include all related network data.
Note on this report, the IP address is dropped just showing MAC and NAME.
It’s the “MIXING UP” of different parts of the data, that make managing a network so hard.
If all ROWS in ALL GRIDS had ALL THE SAME DATA, this whole networking thing would be easier.
Having the PROGRAMMERS pre-decide on GRID 1, we will include A, B and on GRID 2, we will include A,C,D, MAKES not sense.
Just provide access to A,B,C,D,E,F,G on all grids… then we don’t have to cross references repeatedly.
