Remote user access from ipad

Hi,

I am trying to access my peplink balance 20 remotely from my ipad.

I have set up everything according to these instructions, but it doesn’t work:

I get an error saying that the l2tp-vpn server did not respond. Nothing shows up on the event log file. My internet service providers are both connected via PPPOE and route using NAT.

Do I need to do anything to the routers? Any suggestions?

Hi Sid. Two questions:

  1. What are you using for clients – iOS, WIndoze, etc?
  2. Have you config’d the Balance (Network | Remote User Access)?
  3. Have you config’d the clients with the same parameters/data as you did in the previous step?

I set up the balance using remote user access as described in the link.

And I configured the clients with same parameters

Hi, I will ask the obvious question.

Does your internet provider give you a static IP address, or are you using a dynamic IP address with a DDNS service?

Are you sure you have the right remote IP address on your iPad?

yes, I have two static ip addresses and I have the correct addresses on my ipad
