Would it be possible together REmoteSim support in some more models?
The 310 5G and Transit Duo Pro supports it, but not the Max BR1 5G for example- could it be added to the br1 5G?
Also the Balance 20x on the flexmodule, but not built in- would it be possible on the built in?
I have a couple of use cases that would be great for this for simplifying deployments and backup sim use.
The 20x supports remotesim for the built-in module as well, if you also have a cell flex module installed. The chip that support remotesim is part of the flex module and enables it for both.
Hi Bryn,
we are working a new BR1 Pro 5G vesion with RemoteSIM support. No release date yet.
For the B20X Jonathan already answered. The drawback is that you still need to have LTE Flex module to be inserted to get RemoteSIM for both radios (integrated and FlexModule).
Lastly there are many models which support RemoteSIM like HD Dome series, MBX series, BR2 Pro, UBR series, etc.

@Giedrius That’s great news! Same form factor I assume?
The flexmodule isn’t an option here as they usually have the vdsl flexmodule.
does the cat7/upcoming cat6 version ofvthe b20x support it built in?
If I remember correctly, it will be slightly longer. The height and width stay the same.

Not very likely, but let me double check with the team.

Do you have a 3d model for the BR1 pro 5g redesign?
@bryn.loftus
in the near future there are no plans to release B20X which will support RemoteSIM. The only option for now is to insert FlexModule Mini LTE module which will add RemoteSIM for both integrated and inserted Cellular.
@Jonathan_Pitts the BR1 Pro 5G is in the development phase, so no 3D drawings are available yet. Preliminary, the design should be about 15mm (0.55") longer. The height and width stays the same.
@Giedrius Please add POE input power source as an option for the BR1 Pro 5G.
Also Would like to see a BR1 Pro 5g core) one with 5g,remotesim,poe input and no wifi.
Does the new br1 pro 5g have a USB port?
also, does the max adapter 5g support remote sim, its SW based I believe?
Hi Bryn,
No, the new BR1 Pro 5G doesn’t have USB port.
The MAX Adapter doesn’t support RemoteSIM. It only has physical SIM and e-SIM support.
