I need one or two hotspots for my SOHO Surf. My house is about 2700 square feet, and two stories tall. I would prefer not to run ethernet cables to access point, and I am curious if your WDS found in the AP1 mini AC hotspot will be compatible with my router. I’m not sure if I have InControl as I have never tried to use it but I would prefer to have the ability to link my AP to my SOHO via WIFI without using InControl. Thanks.
You get one year of access to InControl when you buy a new Surf SOHO. You should activate your account, if for no other reason than preventing someone else from using it. Each Surf SOHO has a unique serial number and you want your registered to your InControl account.
No familiar with WDS.

@jachin99, WDS is a feature only available in AP products, that allow you to bridge 2 location (isolated network) together wirelessly.
For your situation, you may consider the setup like this, if it helps.
{Internet} <-----> [SOHO MK3 | LAN Port] <—Ethernet Cable—> [APO AC Mini #1] <—WDS—> [APO AC Mini #2 | SSID] <-----> [Wi-Fi Client]
