I am a newbie to Peplink and would like to know more about peplink behavior in high availability mode.
I have the following questions, assuming my topology would be the same as the one in http://www.peplink.com/knowledgebase/configuring-11-backup-by-vrrp/ :
How many public IPs do I need for both active and passive nodes? One IP per ISP WAN link for the whole set, a total of 2 public IPs? Or One IP per ISP WAN link for one node, a total of 4 public IPs? Also, when failover, will the passive node take up the public IPs of the failed node?
Mac address issue when failover: will the passive node take over the mac address of the failed node when failover occurs? If not, will it use any methods to update the arp table mac address record of the ISP router so that the ISP router will still forward the traffic to the newly active node?
