Question on latest firmware build

On the Peplink website here
https://www.peplink.com/support/downloads/
the file downloaded for the latest Surf SOHO firmware is
fw-max_br1mk2_hotspot_sohomk3-7.1.2-build1387.bin

However, on my Surf SOHO, I had the router itself check for new firmware and install it. After rebooting, the router is firmware 7.1.2 build 3310.

Why the different builds? Thank you.

Hi Michael, I hope all is well on your side! I believe you have a SOHO HW Rev2 and not the MK3, can you confirm? Thanks

Yes, this is true.

You’re seeing different build numbers as you’re actually looking at firmware builds for two different devices. The Surf SOHO mk3 runs on a different hardware platform than the SOHO hardware revision 2.
