Hello my first post here, we have a few of these Max Transit Pro DUo units, and they have been working great here in the US, we are planning to use them over in the UK, specifically in London. I reead a post on this forum about some units (other model#s) not being able to be used outside USA, so specific models for certain regions. Can anyon confirm if the model we have Max Transit Pro (MAX-TST-PRO-DUO-LTEA-USR-T-PRM) would work in the UK if we pop in some SIMS from that region? Any other tips on moving units this way? Thanks
You can check the differences in bands supported by the various models under the “Ordering Information” section on https://www.peplink.com/products/mobile-routers/max-transit-duo-pro/
Then cross-check against your UK carrier to see what the overlap is between their bands and those supported by your unit.
Cheers,
Z
Thank you for the prompt reply, looks like our model is region specific to North America based on the Product details under Ordering information.
It might still work - we have successfully deployed US models of cellular Peplink routers in Europe, but only after checking that the bands employed by the carrier are supported by the unit to a sufficient degree.
According to Wikipedia (the source of all knowledge) in Europe (still including the UK?) you have bands 1, 3, 7, 8, 20, 28, and 38 in play. That does not leave much room for the CAT-7 modem in your router. The CAT-12 modem looks to be covering more (but not all) of the European bands… And then you have to narrow it down to whatever bands your particular carrier is offering.

OK that makes sense, again thanks for the clarification!
