So here’s a question…I am currently going through quite an experience troubleshooting an issue with an SFP link on an SD Switch. Thanks to the SD Switch’s absolute lack of any port statistics such as CRC errors, input/output errors, SFP diagnostics including light level etc, it has made the troubleshooting way more difficult than it had to be.
That leads me to my big question - are the Enterprise switch models also this way? As in, without any diagnostics for their PHY ports that would help any reasonable network engineer with troubleshooting a layer 1 issue?
