Hi everyone,
We are thinking about getting an Antenna MAX S. Just wondering if, besides our BR1 Pro 5G, we could fit a MAX adapter 5G modem inside (or the new Peplink 5G dongle)
We are looking at a 2 x 5G + Starlink solution
Does anyone have experience with this?
Thanks a lot!
Ignacio
It doesn’t have enough antenna ports to support that.
You might be able to fit a transit duo in there, haven’t tried tho.
Thanks for the reply, Jonathan.
I am not talking about using the 4 Antenna MAX S cellular cables for the MAX adapter.
Those 4 would connect to the BR1 Pro 5G. My intention is to connect the MAX adapter via USB and use its own ACW-234 antennas.
Do you think that could fit inside the enclosure?
Thanks again,
Ignacio
The new max 5g dongle has antennas on each side which would make it quite wide.
The br1 pro 5g has no usb port.
The new max 5g adapter has antennas on one side , and could possible fit, but you would still need a way to power it or run a seperate cable.
The new max 5g adapter has an ethernet connection not usb , btw.
I’ll need to order a new 5g adapter and try it.
@Giedrius would either fit along with a pro?

The Antenna MAX S has space to fit PoE Splitter and router (e.g. BR1 Pro 5G as mentioned by Ignacio).
So it all depends what size of PoE Splitter or power supply is used.
If PoE Splitter is small enough, then yes, it is possible to fit both BR1 Pro 5G and 5G Adapter. In other words it depends.
You may check this video made by Mobile Must Have video. They Antenna MAX S installation details.
Thanks,
Giedrius

Where I can read about new max 5G dongle and new max 5G adapter?
This is somewhat off to the side, but have you considered the Antenna Max Duo (recently released)?
It has all the antennas (8 + 2 + 1) in a single mountable enclosure, which would support a 2 x 5G + Starlink solution.
We have recently deployed one with a Max BR2 Pro, but it can also accommodate combinations of two single-modem routers.
Just a thought.

Thanks for all the info, @Jonathan_Pitts and @Giedrius. I’ll definitely check the video by Mobile Must Have.
@zegor_mjol, that is a thing to consider, indeed, although I would have to carry the Starlink separately. But having an Antenna MAX Duo with a BR1 pro 5G + the new 5G dongle sounds very interesting.
Thanks a lot,
Ignacio
I can take some pictures this Thursday when I have access to the ant-max duo and ant-max s.
Let me know if you want a quote for anything, as a platinum peplink partner we are happy to help.
