Question about acces via web with static IP

Hello, I recently bought a pepwave max modem. I wanted to try another brand than Microhard. With microhard, I can speak with my modem by entering the static ip address in the chrome search bar and I have access to my modem. how to do with the pepwave modem? Thanks

(Am I obligated to pay for a license? With microhard no)

Hmmm. Can you tell us exactly what product you have – modem or router? If it’s a router and you have not changed the device’s IP address, can you not reach it at the address shown on the label on the bottom – likely 192.168.50.1?

Here to understand better. With my microhard routers, I have remote access when I enter the static ip address of the sims card via chrome for example. I go into the settings as if I was wired directly. For example, I enter 26.34.5.138 and I enter the remote router. With wire, I enter the Wan IP address of the router. So with the pepwave, I can enter it with no problem with its address 192.168.50.1. I put my sims card in it and I have internet and it recognizes the static ip address well. But via the web, I am not able to enter the settings as with mircrohard.

I am not at all familiar with Microhard but are you saying your cellular carrier issues you a static IP address? And, you can access your Microhard router via this means but not the Peplink?

That’s it. Connected by wire, the microhard and the pepwave communicate via their ip address, i.e. 192.168.50.1 for the pepwave and 192.168.168.1 for microhard (basic config). When I insert a sims card with static ip address, I can access my microhard via this static ip address wirelessly since the router is connected to the web, but when I try with the pepwave, it does not work even if he is connected to the web.

OK, and when you insert your SIM into the Pepwave router you have full cellular functionality? You have complete access to the internet?

yes and the setting inside the pepwave are the same than the microhard

OK, I guess the next thing to check is to see if you have access via WAN authorized. In the example which follows a MAX is being restricted to access via LAN only. If this is your situation you will want to change this to LAN/WAN. Does that help?

Thank you very much, it works
