My understanding is that the Quectel’s will no longer be used and they are revising models with NDAA/TAA compliant modems. However this may take some time to release the revised models.
I don’t think your noted model is affected. The Quectel containing units had model numbers with “5GN” while you have the LTEA which is typically uses a Sierra Wireless EM9191 modem.
If you look at your device, then click “engineering data” on the cell connection, it will tell you exactly what make and model of modem it uses.
It would be very nice if Peplink would chime in publicly on this issue, at least for partners, so we can address this properly to our clients.
