Putting Max to sleep

I try again regarding power usage on max router series.

Is it somehow possible to put a router to “sleep cycle” does not need to send data more than once a day. So no need for it to run on full load 24/7. Just have it resting and then activate when it is told to send data? If not, would it be possible to write a script/code for this?

Thanks in advance.

The MAX routers are either on or off. There is no “sleep” or “standby” mode.
The data that you need to send, what type of device is it been generated by and when is the data sent (at a certain time of the day or when an event happens)?
You could use a timed relay if it it is once a day at the same time you need to send the data.
If the data happens on and event, you would need a way of powering up the device, waiting for a connection and then sending the data.
It all depends on what how your data is been created/collected.
If you let us know what kind of devices are involved, we could give a more precise idea of what could be done.

They will be deployed in remote locations where the power is supplied by solar panel or battery. The data is on a certain time of day. Very low data, just strings of data points from a water measuring unit or such. So there is no need for the device to opperate at full capacity at alltimes.
A timed relay that say gives power out for 10-15 minutes a day would do the trick maybe?

Do you think mechanical timer can help for your case ?

You can easily schedule to power on the MAX device follow by the data sending times
