Does anyone know if Peplink has a private lte core? If not which core is Peplink compatible with?

Peplink/Pepwave/Pismo don’t develop LTE modules.
Peplink use, inside their device, the LTE/5G from many vendors.
Maybe you can find an answer, here at the forum or opening a case with support, because, each device has a specified module for each country.
