We’d like a feature to enable PPTP users connecting to a Peplink device to be able to have access to the remote sites connected to the same Peplink by enabling a specific rule in Firewall/Outbound policies.
We are a bit confused. Right now PPTP users are treated as coming from the LAN, they should have access to remote sites connected to a Peplink just fine.
Dear Keith ,
in my Peplink PPTP users don’t have access to remote sites. Is there any extra configurations for that ?
Thanks - Hootan
Hi Hootan, Can you ping those remote devices?
No I can’t
Do you have a default inbound firewall rule set to deny all? If so, you will need to add a firewall rule to allow access from the local subnet.
Dear Tim ,
No there is no deny rule.
Thanks - Hootan
Hi Hootan,
Please start a support ticket via our site so we can dig further.
Thanks - Tim
Dear Tim ,
I found what was going wrong.
I should check the “Use default Gateway on Remote Network” check box in the properties for VPN connection.
After enabling it , problem solved.
Thanks and Regards,
Hootan
Awesome, thanks for the update Hootan. I believe that option is enabled by default.
Regards,
Tim
