So for the past two weeks i have been trying to connect a Ubiquiti AP via a powerline adapter, however, it is not recognized by the router. I have tried three different sets of adapters so far and nothing works. Is there something im missing? I assumed it would be plug and play.

Is it a brand new Ubiquiti AP? How is the AP powered?
Yes, i got it off amazon couple weeks ago. Its powered by the included POE injector - AP connected to the POE port, and the powerline adapter is connected to the LAN port.
Ok so first thing to do would be to unplug the POE injector from the powerline and plug in a laptop. Does the laptop get a IP address? Can it access the internet? In which case we know the Powerline is working and the issue is with the AP configuration.
Which Ubiquiti AP is it? If its a UNFI model you’ll need to install the unifi software on your PC to configure them, however you can check the APs are on the network by logging into your Surf SoHo and navigating to Status → Client List.
