I am looking for help getting port 8080 open on my BR2.
I am also unable to PING either one of the WAN SIM Card IP addresses but I am able to ping the Peplink detected IP Address.
All I need to do is get to a PTZ camera sitting on the network that is plugged into the router.
In short, if the WAN SIM card IP is not the Peplink Detected IP, then this isn’t possible. Most of the time, carriers are using NAT to allow more devices on limited IPv4 space. In cases where IPv6 is used at the core (like T-Mobile), you will get a 192.0.0.2 address on the cellular interface showing that you are on an IPv6 core using 4to6 translation.
To get around this, you can use FusionHub, or build a VPN tunnel to the location you’d like to view the camera at by using the myriad of capabilities within the Peplink device.
