I have tried to Port Forward port 44158 in the Peplink BR1 mini. I have Public static IP issued by Verizon. I have created the Rule but when I check the port via Port checker it shows closed.
Higher port ranges can sometimes be blocked by mobile operators because they tend to be used by P2P file share apps. Try port forwarding a lower port number like 81 or 8080 to something instead and see fi that works first.
To fault find this further I would typically enable logging on the firewall to make sure traffic was being received by the cellular WAN on the Mini.
