Someone offered me the PLS-48-H2G-740W as PoE access switche and I have a number of questions about it:
Can it be fully managed using Switch Controller on peplink router?
Can it be managed locally? will I use any management function?
Does the management GUI show MAC address and ARP tables ?
Does it support static routes?
Switch controller, yes. There is minimal management on the local device, but it can do basic stuff (VLAN assignment, etc.). Using IC2 you can see MAC address of clients but no specific ARP table is visible. Static routes, no, because this is a layer 2 device, not a layer 3 device.

Switch Controller has same capabilities of IC2? I can see client-mac-addressed to switch port mapping on it?
Yes, you can see that on the device. You are required to have a Peplink router to use it, though.
Introducing the Switch Controller
A new and enhanced approach to local management for our Switches, the Switch Controller is coming soon.
What is the Switch Controller?
The Switch Controller will be a built-in feature within Peplink routers, designed to manage multiple Switches from a centralized, local interface. It’s similar to the AP Controller that many of you already use for Access Points.
Essentially, it acts as a (mini) local InControl, offering robust and offline management capabilit…
But the series manual clearly states inter-VLAN routing as a feature. Could it be a mistake?
