Please improve AP Controller / Event Log / Search

I have a Balance One running Firmware 8.5.1.

I’m noticing that the Search button in the AP / Event Log is quite limited.

  • I can search for MAC addresses and SSID names
  • I can not search for AP names or Client (DHCP) names or Events

The log has this format:
[timestamp] [AP Name] [Client Name] [MAC] [Event] [SSID]

This makes the Search button very counter-intuitive, as it won’t search for 4 of the 6 fields!!!

Another issue:

  • AP Online and Offline events are not shown in the log when you search by the AP’s MAC address. You will see the events where clients Associate or Dissociate, but not events in the log where the AP itself is going offline.
