Pepwave VPN Dataflow

Hello all,
I was wondering how the dataflow of a setup with Pepwave MAX and Peplink Balance looks like as I could not find anything on it.
If you connect a MAX at site A and one at B and the Balance is at C and they all have a Speedfusion Layer2 connection.
If a client at A sends data to B, does it always go through the Balance at C or can it send it directly to B as it learns where the MAC is located?
Like A and B are set up in the US but the Balance is located in Europe, it would always take the long way.

Good question and Peplink has an answer for that. :<) The data will take the “least cost” route as you have defined it. In the example below the segment has been assigned a cost of 20. this particular path won’t be taken so long as there is a lower cost route (which there is – unless it is disrupted.)
