From my Pepwave Surf SOHO device event log, the DHCP server assigns an IP address, with a lease time of 24 hours, to an Apple TV many times in a short time period. The connection is wireless. For example, last night between 8pm and 2am it assigned the same IP address 17 times. I am wondering if this is normal. I know that in the case of my computer, if it wakes from sleep or starts after being shut down, the server assigns the IP address again.
The Apple TV’s wifi goes to sleep to save power. Same with an iPhone.
