Pepwave Max transit repairs

I use a Max Transit for streaming my daughter’s softball games. Unfortunately, this last weekend it fell and one of the antennas broke off. I can see that part of the brass female side broke as well.

Is anyone aware of somewhere I could send it in for repairs? Peplink support just said buy a new one. :unamused:

thanks

Just buy connector and replace it, the type of connector based on modem type inside router.
Or ask any electronic shop do it, 20 minutes job can be done without any soldering.

Hi…

Take a look this… maybe help you.

Thank you. Yeah, that looks like what I need, but I’ll go for the 3" version.

If you want better quality and size of connector match I suggest this one: https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/gct/CAB556RF-0100-A-1/18801093

I was able to get it repaired and it has tested successfully.

I ended up breaking the screws that hold down the heatsink/modem. I unscrewed, but apparently underneath they weren’t moving. When I was putting pressure I thought I was just working against the heatsink putty, but I guess not. Oh well. After re-assembling everything seems fine.
