The damaged SMA is part of a cable assembly that connects to the cellular module. You can buy a replacement cable assembly. You need an SMA Female bulkhead connector at this end and very likely a ufl connector at the other end.
The only other thing to find out is what length this patch lead needs to be.
It will be fiddly to get the ends off the transit and then those little ufl connectors are tricky to get off and on - even though they just pull off and press on - but it’s not rocket science… you should be fine.
Where in the world are you? You might find someone on here who can help in real life.
Just an advice from ma own experience - I pulled the parts apart too forcefully when disassembling the case, and then tore off the contacts from the modem board.
But besides from that its not too complicated
I bought this then the simple metal that screws the antenna broke when i unscrewed it and i called pepwave probably a year and half after purchase and they said they were not responsible for this main 1 terminal breaking so i want to just fix it and move on with my life and need the part.
I could get it to a pro in phoenix and pay more money but only if i have to pay for their poor material and fix it? its just the metal female bad part they sold me with a 1,000 router…
That you both for responding. I cant even get rid of it with a broken main 1…
Power up the transit and check which module is in it. Then we can check which cable connections you need. Then I will ship you a cable and you can either have a go yourself or take it to a local smartphone repair shop and ask them to do it for you.
