Pepwave BR1 Max Pro router no longer working with T-Mobile 50g plan?

We purchased this router and external antenna back in 2023. Confirmed compatible with T-Mobile 50g plan. It worked great as our backup internet source until a few months ago. Cannot connect to internet. Both Status light and WiFi light are SOLID. However, “Cellular” light just blinks or goes out. Called T-mobile and trouble-shot the problem without success. The tech just said to re-set the router and nothing else. Still no internet via the Peplink, even though the T-Mobile cellular plan is still active.

Our experience suggests that the issue is more likely with the SIM or plan than the hardware. What we would do to test: (1) Check the signal metrics as reported by the modem and if you have been allocated an IP address, (2) ensure no traffic is being blocked by the firewall or outbound policies, (3) check your SIM in another router (of any manufacturer), and (4) Try another SIM in your router.

There are a few more steps but I’d start with these.

Rick - Is there anyone there at Peplink whom I can trouble-shoot this with over the phone? I have no idea how to do Steps 1 & 2 you mentioned.
I don’t have another router, nor do I have another active SIM card.

OK. Did you acquire your device from a Peplink Certified Engineer or Peplink Partner [recommended?] If so, that should be your first stop as Partners are required to provide first level support. If you got it directly from Peplink (yes, it’s possible – sometimes Peplink “works around” their Partners) then one can submit a ticket to Peplink.

Have you tried removing the SIM and putting it back in a different slot?
