PepVPN layer 2 bridge with 2 DHCP servers

We’ve got two sites with two Balance Ones

Site 1
Gateway 192.168.1.1
DHCP 192.168.1.x

Site 2
Gateway 192.168.2.1
DHCP 192.168.2.x

I’ve got Layer 2 Bridging turned on and Preserve LAN Settings so clients will get IPs from their local Peplink so it’s easy to use applications between the sites. Primarily though, users at each site want to access the internet through their local gateway.

Unfortunately earlier today I discovered that all the clients on Site 1 had an IP and gateway from Site 2 and that’s where all their traffic was going before heading out to the world.

How do I prevent this from happening? I’m not using the Peplink’s VLAN features if that would help. I don’t want the VPN being up to be a requirement for clients to get addresses and have internet access.

You have a normal Layer 3 PepVPN setup so you should just disable the Layer 2 bridging and you should be all set.
