Setting up and connecting the PepVPN was not too difficult. I have a Balance One in the main office, and a Balance Two at a satellite location.
The VPN is connected and stable. I have added access rules on both routers to allow each to ‘see’ the other - both external and internal IP scopes.
Fixed IP’s on both routers, and I added each external IP to the remote ID on both ends.
It’s very simple set of internal IP scopes: 192.168.1.x on the Balance One. 192.168.2.x on the Balance Two.
I cannot connect to any devices on either side of the VPN… very frustrating.
Using the standard Window Server 2019/2016 software VPN (PPTP) I can share printers with no issues.
When I attempt to map a printer using the printer IP on the office network it does not find the printer, and vice-versa.
For the VPN to be of any use, I need to access printers and resources on the Office network from the client.
Using these setup parameters, if anyone has any suggestions on what to try, please let me know.
One recommendation was to create a static route, but I have not tried that yet.
