Peplink SOHO Mk3 Lan connections disconnecting

I have a SOHO MK3 Firmware version: 8.0.0 build 1429, I have 2 devices connected by lan and every so often they disappear from my client list. One I have set to DHCP and the other is static. Unplugging and re-plugging the lan line does nothing, it typically takes 1-2 restarts of the router for the devices to be seen again. As far as I can tell Wifi clients are unaffected, some are DHCP others are static, no issues this far. Is there a more stable build? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

To clarify: Is the sole issue that you can’t see the LAN-side devices on the client list? Are they otherwise working fine? And, are those devices active (TXing/RXing packets) when they are not shown on that list?

Correct, the lan is 192.168.1.x, one device is DHCP and when I cannot see the device from the router the device shows 10.10.10.x. I change it to 192.168.1.x and I am still unable to see it. Rx/tx lights in the back blink. Unable to ping device.

Another is set to static, NAS, I am able to directly connect from my laptop to it via Ethernet with the static IP address but the router does not see it. Performing a reset seems to be the only thing that “fixes” it. Very intermittent issues, happens every few days, have not been able to find it in event log.

Hi. Where are you seeing this address? On the SOHO as a client address? And this is after setting the LAN DHCP range to 192.168.1.0/24? (Sorry for all the questions …)

You’ll only see clients listed in the client list on the SOHO is they have recently sent traffic to or from a different network segment (ie the WAN or alternative VLAN).

I have loads of CCTV sites where the Peplink device doesn’t list any devices until I connect to them over PepVPN (ie to access the camera or NVR’s browser) when I do they pop up on this list as they are sending traffic via the router so it can see them.
