Dears,
I am new to Peplink community and I am doing now my PCA certification. I found question as below. I marked B as correct answer but it wasn’t right. In my opinion both A and B are correct. Can someone explain to me this? Thanks in advance.
The national railway operator of a European country intends to establish fast and reliable internet connectivity, utilizing dual 5G connections. Ensuring suitability for railway applications, it is crucial to adhere to EN 50155 certification standards. Which Peplink device would be the most suitable for such the railway environment?
a. MBX Mini b. Dome Pro Duo c. HD1 Dome 5G d.BR1 Pro 5G
The EN 50155 is a European standard (CENELEC) that specifies the requirements for all electronic equipment installed on railway rolling stock. It ensures that onboard devices, such as control systems, industrial PCs, and power supplies, can operate reliably in the harsh environments of trains, which are subject to extreme temperature swings, high humidity, and constant mechanical stress. Although it is a European standard, it has been widely addopted by railway operators around the globe and is used additionally in many other industries as a benchmark such as transportation or road based fleets of vehicles.
So the question is asking you to choose which of the four models “adhere” to the EN 50155 certification standards.
Review the information in each of the products’ “Data Sheets”, looking for “EN 50155: Railway Applications - Electronic Equipment used on Rolling Stock” and you will know the correct answer.
Part of getting your Peplink Certification is knowing where to find the information. You will not find the answer from just searching the Peplink website; Peplink wants you to download and read the “Data Sheets” to learn more indepth about the products.
If you do want to search, the Peplink Partner site of Rising Connection can be searched, for example “https://rising.au/?s=50155”, which returns all past and current known Peplink models that have received EN 50155 certification.
