I’m having an issue with downloading the eSIM profile. I have been trying for over a week now without success. Verizon sent me the activation code, and I made sure I’m using the latest firmware. I updated the cellular module and performed a factory reset. However, when I attempted to install the eSIM, I received a “failed to download” message. I tried multiple times until Verizon blocked the activation code.
I got in touch with their support, and they provided me with a new code and confirmed that everything is good on their end, including the IMEI. I have my device connected to Ethernet, with Wi-Fi as a backup. Am I missing something?
-eSIM provisioning is being performed via InControl2
-the device has an active PrimeCare subscription
-the hw version of the BR1 Mini is compatible with “BYO eSIM” (HW version 3 for 4G/LTE, version 2 for 5G if I’m recalling correctly)
Then the “generic” Verizon eSIM QR code should do the trick! This is documented on Get eSIM support | Verizon " Activation QR Code" in case you’d like to pull the image file from there vs here.
I have had success with this method vs auto-discovery or manual input of the LPA URI code for Verizon (LPA:1$2.vzw.otgeuicc.com$). Hope this helps and please let the community know if this resolved the issue.
I have tried that, but unfortunately, it didn’t work. I believe the issue is related to Verizon, as their server keeps rejecting the installation. When I initially contacted them, they only requested the IMEI. I think I won’t be able to connect to their server unless they add the EID on their end. I sent them the information to get this done. I greatly appreciate your response.
