Peplink Balance - Momentarily disable VLAN

Hello there, I am managing two routers on the same network segment.

**Peplink Balance One**
Address x.x.x.254 on each subnet
LAN: 192.168.8.0/24 - DNS: Windows Server 192.168.8.1 - DCHP Server: Windows Server -> GW 192.168.8.254
VLAN: 10.0.100.0/24 - DNS: Windows Server 192.168.8.1 - DHCP: internal  -> GW 10.0.100.254
VLAN: 10.0.200.0/24 - DNS: Windows Server 192.168.8.1 - DHCP: internal -> GW 10.0.200.254

**EdgeRouter 4**
Address: x.x.x.253 on each subnet
LAN: 192.168.8.0/24 - DNS: Windows Server 192.168.8.1 - DCHP Server: Windows Server
[disabled] - VLAN: 10.0.100.0/24 - DNS: Windows Server 192.168.8.1 - DHCP: internal -> GW 10.0.100.253
[disabled] - VLAN: 10.0.200.0/24 - DNS: Windows Server 192.168.8.1 - DHCP: internal -> GW 10.0.100.253

The EdgeRouter is configured as a backup solution, in case the Balance One should fail. In that case, VLANs would be enabled on the EdgeRouter and the DHCP server would be set to assign x.x.x.253 as the default gateway

I am now thinking of letting the EdgeRouter to manage VLAN 200 traffic, so to avoid conflicts, I might disable momentarily the VLAN 200 on the Balance, however I would like to keep the settings, to allow fast switching in case needed.
The only option to achieve this is to disable the DHCP server on VLAN 200 on Balance One leaving all other settings, allowing the EdgeRouter’s DHCP to kick in (after enabling VLAN 200 on the EdgeRouter).

Should I also disable VLAN 200 on trunk port on Balance One, to avoid conflicts? Actually, once the EdgeRouter DHCP server kicks-in, clients would receive the EdgeRouter’s IP as the default gateway, ignoring Balance One configuration and this should not be conflicting somehow… or? Your thoughts?
