Peplink Balance = Failed WAN Ping Test

I have two Verizon Hotspots and each is wirelessly connected to a TP-Link Range Extender. From the range extender ethernet port the cable then goes to the WAN port on the Balance 30 LTE router.

I’m getting Failed WAN Ping Test with both connections. I’ve tried setting it to DNS and https but that doesn’t work.

What’s odd is that if I look at the hotspot > Connected devices, it shows the Balance 30 as a connected device.

If I run the cable to my computer instead of to the router, the connection works and is solid. So I know it’s not a repeater or cable issue.

UPDATE: If I change the port speed to 100Mbs Full Duplex, the error goes a way but comes back and the it does this Connect/Disconnect over and over. I set the ping test to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

Please help.

Thanks!

Is your LAN IP also in the 192.168.1.x range as is the default?
I would suggest changing either the WAN or LAN ranges so they are completely different. ie 192.168.10.x

I changed LAN to 192.168.10.x and so far I haven’t had any disconnect/reconnect issues. Hopefully that resolves it.

Thanks Martin
