Please readd the packet capture feature to the MAX series products. I was told it was removed after firmware version 8.1.3. This feature was available from the special ‘support’ interface of the webUI (as opposed to the normal ‘index’ page).
I suspect you removed this feature because of resource limitations. However it’s a critical troubleshooting tool. The Event Log feature information is very bare and we would often use packet capture to compensate for that.

I would have not purchased these units had I known I would have been unable to capture packets. This is a critical feature that should not be blocked!
Hi Brian,
BR1 Mini series should include tcpdump, while BR1 Pro series this functionality is not available until we will find a way how to reduce the total FW size.
For which product or products it is essential for you to have ? Also what is the typical application you use it for ? Could you give us a context and more details ?

I think you said the reverse by mistake?
You said:
BR1 Mini series should include tcpdump, while BR1 Pro series this functionality is not available until we will find a way how to reduce the total FW size.
But I think you meant to say:
BR1 Pro series should include tcpdump, while BR1 mini series this functionality is not available until we will find a way how to reduce the total FW size.

Hi Jonathan,
since 8.4.1. BR1 Mini should have both tcpdump and Starlink. While for BR1 Pros we need to check. Most likely it will not have tcpdump, but it would be best if you could mention exact models you need so that we could double check.

Thanks for the comment and there was my miscommunication with team. BR1 Mini HW3 and BR1 Pro 5G, support both tcpdump and Starlink integration.

We really need capture on all units for troubleshooting.
For this discussion I’m referring to BR1 mini hw2, BR1 hw3 , BR1 pro 5G h/d/n, BR1 pro glte

BR1 Mini HW3 used to allow packet captures up until 8.5.1. We have a couple hundred of these and I can’t seem to get any output when attempting a packet capture on the LAN. This used to work fine on previous versions of the firmware. Can anybody else confirm before I open a ticket?
It it is removed, it should say so in the ui.
@Giedrius , @sitloongs , @Eddy_Yeung has this been removed on the mini?
@Jonathan_Pitts Stay tuned to the 8.5.2 RC 2.

It does not say anything in the UI, but thanks for confirming. Hopefully the comment from Eddy_Yeung hints at this coming back.
