Outbound Policy Priority

Balance 20X Starling and verizon data plan. Ive built a SFC tunnel for wires remote work setup and that seems to be working. Now I want to run everything else in the RV on Starling data only so I created a separate SSID and set it up. Here’s where it goes astray though. In outbound Policies there are now three rules listed. Two for her cloud setup and 1 for my SSID. My SSID rule only kicks in IF I move it to the top of the list then her stuff is not honored ie her pc is now only using Starling as well. Of course it does not work well with just Starling. I move my rule back to bottom of the list and then its not honored at all and EVERYTHING is now using both WAN connections.

Any insight???

Hi Mike, you just need to define the two rules for her a bit better. Instead of choosing a source of Any you should use her IP address or MAC address. Then your bottom rule of using the Starlink will work.

Ok I will try that today. Also Im wondering a couple other things. 1 when setting up SFC you choose a cloud location to route traffic through. The youtube videos all say to select automatic. I have no such choice so Ive chosen DFW CHI and ATL. Within each location is a submenu where I have setup smoothing, bonding, and failover. Why are the sub menu’s even there to begin with? Should all three of those tasks be accomplished with just the basic location choice???

Ok loaded her laptop IP and that is working now thanks. Im still playing with the other stuff.
