Just installed a Balance 20 that I received from Amazon on January 8th 2016 and went thru InControl2 setup and add device, flashed up to latest firmware and can’t get a key due to the fact it shows Out Of Warranty! Please advise, Tom
Likely a glitch. I remember reading something that said you can now upgrade firmware even if the device is out of warranty.

Even if your device is out of warranty you can still obtain the firmware unlock key via InControl by just simply clicking on the device to go to its management page.
