I recently started having issues with the sim being detected on power up for our Max BR1. It takes multiple manual retries to get the sim to connect. Once connected, no issues until the next power cycle. There have been no firmware updates, the unit hasn’t been touched/moved and there is no issue on Verizon’s end apparently.
“No SIM detected” is not a carrier issue. My first steps would be to remove the SIM, gently clean it with a tissue moistened with alcohol and reinsert it after it completely dries. Avoid touching the contacts with your fingers.
Is the SIM cover in place and is the BR1 in a dusty or salty environment?
I will try that. Yes the cover is on, but yes it’s inside a boat.
