No Sim Card detected in Slot A - Pepwave MAX BR1 MK2

Hello,

I’m new here but I have some experience with the Peplink products.

On the boat, I’m working on they have a Pepwave MAX BR1 MK2 with a local A1 sim card from A1. It works perfectly fine in the slot B but in the slot A it always says “No Sim Card detected Reload Sim”.

I tried another expired one and it does the same.

What could be reason except mechanical problem with the slot itself?
Whould this be a warranty issue after 9months if it is physical?

Any tip would help.

Good tests so far. What I would do, in order:

  1. Use compressed air to blow out any detritus or other junk that may have found its way in there;
  2. Use some thin cardboard cut in approximately the same width as the SIMs you are using to gently burnish the contacts in the slot (don’t lose the paper in there!); and if those don’t work,
  3. Submit a ticket as your device should still be under warranty.
