at the configuration step of the peplink (either BR2 RPO, MAX BR1 Pro 5G or MAX BR1 Mini 5G) there is no SIM card found while it works fine.
This could be solved by switching the SIM card from slot, but this is not possible in my case. This issue only arises at the first configuration of the peplinks. Rebooting the peplink or resetting the modems does not work.
What is the root cause of this issue and could this be solved by itself instead of constantly switching SIM cards or up/downgrading?
Hi Ton, Were you able to solve it? I have the same problem with the BR2 PRO, we have 14 units and the same thing happens to us randomly (modems) it does not detect the SIMs.
Hi, I just bought 2 of them and is the same, sometimes detects one carrier and stop detecting the other and when I try to fix it changing the slot or pulling out the one not detected start to do the opposite. I have been like this for hours.
Hi toon1, thanks for replying. Last week I realized what was happening and it was Slot related. In every place I found the Modems as A and B, having the 1 and 2 as number of SIM for each modem. But it seems that the 1 and 2 are the Modems and A and B the SIM card for each one (with B as a hot standby). I know it sounds maybe repetitive but I just wanted to be clear for other people.
At the end, I am using the Slots A1 and A2 (Both Top slots). And I made some changes for the weighted balance. The system is working great now.
