No Internet on AP ONE ENT w/ Bal 20X

Hi there, I am trying to use an AP One ENT (firmware 3.6.3) with a Balance 20X (firmware 8.4.1) to extend wifi access (range)

The AP One ENT is set to BRIDGE mode and is connected to the Balance via LAN port set to TRUNK and any VLAN. The cat6 cable from the router goes through a POE injector. The AP One ENT is showing up properly on my managed AP list.

Both the Balance 20X and AP One ENT access points are on and broadcasting the same two SSIDs. Each SSID is assigned to a different VLAN.

I have 2 identical AP Settings (Default and new) setup, one for the internal Balance 20X AP and one for the AP One ENT. The only difference is the AP One ENT is not broadcasting all the SSIDs that the Balance 20X does.

I am using the same channels for both and channel width (20 Mhz for 2.4G and 20/40Mhz for 5G).

The SSID and AP setting works fine on the Balance 20X, I can connect to the SSIDs and have internet access for both SSIDs.

However the AP One ENT doesn’t provide internet over wifi. I can connect to either SSID on the AP One ENT, but neither has internet. The AP One ENT has a LAN out port on it and the internet out works fine on it. It’s just the internet over wifi is not working.

What am I doing wrong?
thanks in advance!

To eliminate DNS as an issue. Can you ping 8.8.8.8 from a device hooked up to your WiFi.

Hi can you provide the menu breadcrumbs? I can’t find that screen. Is it under the AP tab? or Network tab?

Yes I can get to 8.8.8.8 from WiFi but that is via the Access Point inside the router. not the one from the AP ENT.

should it be checked or unchecked? It is currently unchecked. however the box is also unchecked for the default configuration used by the Bal 20x internal AP and wifit/internet are working fine from the internal AP. is it possible the AP ONE ENT is interfering with the other AP, i.e. should they be set up to use different channels and SSIDs? I was really hoping to keep one SSID and have it extended.

I’m sorry I can’t find this mneu Marcelo

News flash, the AP One ENT DOES work for wifi AND internet if it is using the SAME AP Profile as the internal AP.
The moment I set it to a different AP Profile it stops working. So the problem seems to be having 2 APs pointing to 2 different AP profiles simultaneously.
The 2nd profile is just a CLONE of the 1st one, the only difference is I am not broadcasting ALL my SSIDs on the 2nd profile.

Very strange.
