It is rugged. It endures hot or cold. It is the ideal choice for your IoT and automation systems.
Seeing the pricing, other CAT modems would be handy to have in this form. Of course with other price per modem type is expected. As this operates as purely a modem, or does it provide routing functionality as well? If it does not provide routing functionality, how are the two LAN ports used then?
We’ve used the older USB MAX Adapter with 5G as Fail-over for other Peplink models, to have a back-up if the internal modems would fail or when some issue would occur with the external antenna or cables to that antenna. CAT4 is too limiting for that use case as providers are already moving spectrum to 5G in EU now and in some areas the 4G coverage is already lower than the 5G coverage.
What happens to the GPS data, is it possible to forward the GPS data locally to a Peplink that has no internal GPS like the B One and B310 5G models?
And is the B One USB-C port powerful enough to power the new MAX Adapter? Or do you need to plugin the power adapter as well?
A 5G/CAT20 version is in the works, but not expected before end of 2024 and no expected price yet.
The GPS currently only works through inControl, other options are being worked on.
B One USB-C port is able to power the New MAX Adapter, in some other cases you might need to connect the supplied power supply as well to the New MAX Adapter.
