I have a 20x, which has been working out great for the last 6 months, but am having issues with connectivity across subnets when communicating from my phone to IoT devices.
I recently re-designed the network, breaking out separate subnets/VLANs for trusted and IoT devices. I have corresponding wireless networks off the Ruckus R510 access points.
I was setting up some home theater components (now on the IoT subnet), with my iPhone on the trusted network. Two examples here are the Marantz App (paired with the HEOS app) and the apple remote that is natively included in current iOS.
Marantz and HEOS app - were working perfectly fine for a week or so. Now - sometimes I can connect, but often I cannot (or after it connects, I am booted from the app).
Apple Remote - would connect to Apple TV initially, but had to get the phone on the IoT network to pair the phone with Apple TV. After which, most of the time it works fine from the trusted network, sometimes it works only with some buttons, and other times it has issues connecting to the AppleTV.
I do have firewall rules prohibiting traffic from IoT to Trusted, and am logging violators in the event log (no drops shown in the firewall event log). I also setup bonjour forwarding from IoT to Trusted (but not the other way around).
Can anyone provide some insight as to what might be going on?
Thanks in advance!
