Hi so I’m trying to figure out if I can change the information that’s being sent out of the pepwaves GPS forwarding. Right now our software is seeing it as the devices IP address and I would like to change it to the Device ID is this even possible?

I assume you are using NMEA; then you have the Vehicle ID to be modified to distinguish which devices sending the NMEA.

We currently have 3,700 Pepwave devices, some of which are sending GPS location data. On our server, we use the Vehicle ID to identify which device is sending the location information. However, the Vehicle ID can only be up to 4 letters long. We prefer not to edit these IDs manually. Additionally, we have a few devices where the last four letters of the serial number are identical, even though the full serial numbers differ. Is it possible to make the Vehicle ID correspond to the full serial number instead?
