Need a way to configure vlan membership of wired LAN ports on AP-ONE in-wall

I’ve got a few of the new AP-ONE in wall units for evaluation. I’m deploying these on a network with a peplink balance router acting as WLAN controller. Unboxed, and deployed and everything was awesome – very smooth and looking great.

Until I got to the ONE location where I need to use one of the four LAN ports that are on each AP-ONE.

There doesn’t seem to be any way to assign the lan port to a particular VLAN – I need to plug a device which only supports untagged traffic into this port and make sure the traffic ends up on the correct VLAN. How can I do this? Seems like a pretty big missing feature given that 99% of the time I would imagine the WAN port is connected to a trunk port on a switch …

Many thanks,
Ben

Thanks for your feedback. We are working on this per-port VLAN feature and it should appear sometime in Q2 of this year. Please stay tuned.

Hi Ben,

We have prepared a beta firmware 3.4.1b3 build 1391 with per port VLAN configuration. The firmware can be downloaded from the link below.

Please let us know if there is any other issues related to per port VLAN configuration.

Thanks,
Gary

Ah I just saw this – will this configuration option be exposed in the peplink balance WLAN controller as well?

I will test at the next opportunity. Many thanks!
