Greetings all, I have roaming set to off, but it appears that the router is still jumping onto another carrier. I’m right on the US/Canada border and it keeps roaming to a Canadian carrier when I don’t want it to. Any ideas? Thanks. Tim
Any thoughts on this? This happens when I’m on the border between the US and Canada and two different carriers are competing. In this case, I want to stay on T-Mobile from the US but Tellus from Canada must be a bit stronger because the BR1 keeps trying to connected to it (Data roaming is not selected). Thanks, Tim
Which model do you have? Max BR1 Mini was sold in HW1, HW3, and a Core model as well: Peplink.com - Model Comparison
I ask because I own a BR1 Mini HW1, and I feel like Peplink software is not supporting this model very well.
Thanks @soylentgreen, I have a HW3.
Hey Tim, you might want to check if your router has a “preferred network” setting. Sometimes it can be configured to stay on a specific carrier even if roaming is off.
Thanks @steve_lobar, you’re a genius! I will give that a try, but it seems like a great idea. Tim
Setting the carrier helped, but the Peplink really wants to roam but it eventually connects to T-Mobile (the one that I have an active line with) as opposed to the other carrier.
