My location is not correct in google maps

I have a MAX br1 pro (4g version). Why is it that when I do searches on the internet my location is always way off? Sometimes when I am in Nevada or Arizona it shows me in The LA area of California. Last year when I was in Alaska, it had me in Texas. I have an AT&T sim card.

Everything else seems to work great.

Sounds like you don’t have a live GPS feed. Is the GPS antenna attached properly? maybe try and tighten it.

If you login to InControl, is the GPS location correct there?
My guess is that your searches are off in location in the way that ATT does their CG-NAT through major hubs, and not at each tower location.
With my Verizon SIM, my web searches show me in downtown Houston and I’m at least two hours from there.
My GPS location in InControl is spot-on, showing my house/streets.

Ah Sorry i misunderstood. yes internet searches are based on your routed ip.
If you visit here it will do a GEO IP lookup for you https://iplocation.io/

And luke is right, as you travel your cellular traffic will get routed out through the mobile networks nearest point of presence.

You can make it sticky by using speedfusion relay via a device at home if you like.
