Goal… To control the behavior of my SSID’s based on multiple Geo Fences. I understand that I can’t have multiple fences apply at the same time, so using logic, I have a scenario that *should work, however it doesn’t?
GeoFence Home
Applies to any device that does not contain “work” tag
Performs actions upon fence modification or device addition - Yes
Adds home tag on entry, removes home tag on exit

Group SSID settings
SSID - 4BY4ADV - SSID Visibility yes - All except Home, Work
SSID - 4BY4ADV-Guest - SSID Visibility yes - All except Home, Work
SSID - 4BY4ADV - SSID Visibility no - Home
SSID - 4BY4ADV-Guest - SSID Visibility no - Home
SSID - MobileBackup - SSID Visibility yes - Work
The goal is for 4BY4ADV and 4BY4ADV-Guest to be visible while driving, stop broadcasting the SSID when I get home, and when I get to work to change SSID’s entirely.
I’d *assume this logic to work, however yesterday when I got to work there was no change in the SSID’s. The router showed Inside “Work”, Outside “Home”, but the Work tag was not applied to the router.
This morning I disabled both fences then enabled the work fence. The router eventually saw that it was inside “Work” and applied the Work tag properly. I re-enabled the Home Geofence and I’m not seeing outside “Home”, likely because I haven’t triggered that geofence.
I’m guessing that if the system only looked at the fences it was inside… this would work. But triggering an “outside” fence breaks the system?
Any suggestions here? Ideally I’d like to make more fences and have the router perform different actions based on location.
