I’m curious if the Peplink routers support Multicast Routing between VLANs.

My specific situation is trying to get multicast paging between VOIP phones to work in separate VLANs. When they are in the same VLAN it of course works fine. If they are in separate VLANs it breaks the page.

This is on a Balance 20.

Multicast routing between VLANs is not supported at this time.

Is there a roadmap to support Multicast, I working on a project for a tetra network. At the moment I am using speedfusion for the IP transport and creating a openVPN with MikroTik, which supports multicast. Preferable I just want to use the Pepwave HD2/4 and/or Transit only.

You can do Layer2 PepVPN between Peplink devices and support multicast that way.

RoIP is working perfect, ones I figured out the setup. With WAN smoothing enabled it works even better as the jitter is minimized.RoIP.pdf (143.1 KB)
