Multicast over PepVPN

Morning friends,

When I have a multicast streams run on the LAN 1 and LAN 2. The PepVPN can send the streams over VPN?

This information is important because i need send multicast streams over VPN. (Bosch Telex Dispatch application)

Thanks !!!

Hello,

We support Layer 2 SpeedFusion/PepVPN which will allow you to send the Multicast traffic through the VPN. Layer 3 SF/PepVPN at this time does not support multicast traffic, you will need to use L2SF.

Hi Jonathan, thanks for sharing.

is this feature work in L3 PepVPN or intervlan L2 Pepvpn ?

Is there any detail info about this feature ?

Primdas

L2 tunnel would already forward all multicast traffic.
The UDP Relay could be between local lans or L3 pepvpn.
The manual website is a great resource.

your quote and from manual :

“” The UDP Relay could be between local lans or L3 pepvpn.“”

its look like promising, UDP relay could be between L3 PepvPN. also di manual it support multicast.

but in your previous statement “” Layer 3 SF/PepVPN at this time does not support multicast traffic""

look likes this two statement contrary or i am mis understanding ?

This statement
Layer 3 SF/PepVPN at this time does not support multicast traffic, you will need to use L2SF.
was not from me.

I said
The UDP Relay could be between local lans or L3 pepvpn.
and gave you the manual to explan it more.
